Welcome to Berean Missionary Baptist Church
Established July 2024
On July 1st, 2024 two families were sent from Valley Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Spokane Valley, WA. They met in the home of Pastor Matt for 10months. Other families came and joined them in those 10months. The church found its current location in CDA and remodeled it to fit their needs.
The name Berean was taken from Acts 17:11. To be a Berean, one must search the scriptures daily to ensure that what they are dealing with is true and from God. This is our defense against the devil and his lies that he tells the world.
The mission of the church is to follow the Great Commission laid out by Jesus in Matthew 28. To see souls won to Christ through outreach and evangelism. After salvation for the believer to follow the Lord in scriptural baptism. We believe that baptism is the picture of Christ and His death, burial, and resurrection. It is the first step in true discipleship. Berean strives to create strong disciples for Christ. The steps to this are strong biblical teaching, expository preaching, and the fellowship of the saints.
We strive to create a loving place for God's children to assemble and grow in their walk with Him.
The head of the church is Jesus Christ; He bought it with His blood. To accomplish His work here, the church is run as a theocracy. Jesus at the head and each member has an equal vote in the operation of the church.
BMBC is associated with the American Baptist Association. We align with the doctrinal statement of the ABA.
What we believe
- We believe that love one for another as Jesus loves the believer manifests our discipleship, proves our love for God and symbolizes our authority as New Testament churches. Love is therefore the great commandment of the LORD Jesus Christ upon which all others are dependent. Matt. 22:35-40; John 13:34,35; John 15:12; 1 John 5:1-3; Rev. 2:4,5
- We believe in the infallible, verbal inspiration of the whole Bible and that the Bible is the all-sufficient rule of faith and practice. Psalm 119:160; 2 Tim. 3:16,17
- We believe in the personal triune God
